Uninstall does'nt seem to work properly for folders/shotcuts

Hi There, - I'am using v3.5.
I've a bit of hard time getting my uninstall to work properly.

2 questions:

First:

Everytime I update the product version all my installed folders are NOT removed e.g. NOT uninstalled. They're just left behind all empty (files are uninstalled correctly). If I then remove the folders and then adds them to my project again then it works again.... hmmm a rather lenghy task to do everytime.

Second:
I can't figure out how to tell the installer to uninstall my two shortcuts (one goes to the desktop - one goes into the "Start Menu\Programs\MyCompany" folder) to my MyApp.exe file inside the APPDIR.

Is this a/two bug(s) or am I going things wrong here ??

I did figure out to get the folders to be uninstalled:

Increment the product version to a higher number (than before)

and to delete the shortcuts when uninstalling:

Include the hidden ".lnk" file extension in the "New File removal dialog"
