Localization exception with 7.6.1

Hi there,

I just upgraded to 7.6.1 and i'm getting the following error message when creating a build:

"Exception - Reason: Localization of resources for Updater Product "C:\Users\Simon\AppData\Local\Temp\AFTEBBE.exe" failed."

Any ideas?

Hi Simon,

Can you delete that temp folder and your cache folder and rebuild? Does the issue still manifest itself?
If so, please send your .aip project file to support at advancedinstaller dot com so we can further investigate.

I've deleted the entire temp folder and did a build. But this still has issues.

I switched off the 'Advanced Updater' option in the project and that fixes it - that seems to be the cause. Do you still need the aip project file?

Can you please give us more details about the scenario when this error occurs? Does it appear at build time? Also, please send us the .aip (project file) to support at advancedinstaller dot com so we can investigate its settings.

It would be also very useful if you could isolate the behavior in a pattern or test case and send it us so we can test and replicate on our side.

Reinstalling AI seems to have fixed the issue. For some reason it started to install something when I was building my installer. Probably, it was something for Visual Studio (as it tried to set up vsvars32.bat) which was open at the moment. Perhaps, it caused the problem.
