Service Startup Type = Manual

Hello,
I want to install a service and set the startup type to Manual.
How can I perform that with AI?
Thanks!

Hello,

Please follow the instructions in the "Services Page" article from the user guide.
In the Services menu page, you can then select the "On demand" option from the "Service Properties" -> "Service Parameters" -> "Start Type" combo box.

Regards,

I would like the Service Startup Type to be: Automatic (Delayed Start). Can Advanced Installer do this? I couldn't figure out how.

Re: Service Startup Type = Manual

Hello and welcome to our forums,

Unfortunately, Windows Installer currently supports only three types of "Service Start Type": Automatic, On Demand and Disabled. A reference can be found in "ServiceInstall Table" article.

Please take a look on a topic with the same issue "Setting Service Start Type to "Automatic (Delayed Start)", it might be useful to solve your problem.

All the best,
Daniel
