Does free version support registyr item precondition?

Hello,

In my application I want to check if a registry item has been used or not. Following installation will depend on it.

I would like to know that if free version supports such feature. If yes, please tell me how to do that. I have searched the forum and found some information on professional version only.

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

If you refer to a registry search and use the result as a launch condition then this is available only in "Professional" or "Java" versions of Advanced Installer.

Gigi

Hello gigi,

Thanks for your reply. I am not sure of the meaning of 'search result' here.

I want to check a registry item existing or not. I know th full path and name of that registry item.

I need such a sentence ' if( RegistryItem existed) then fail to lanch the installation'.

May u clarify that for me?

thanks for your help.

Hi,

In order to know if a registry item exist or not you must make a search in the registry but the search feature is only available in the "Professional" or "Java" versions of Advanced Installer.

Regards,
Gigi
