Trouble Getting Digital Signature

I am having trouble with the Digital Signature. I want to Digitally Sign the package with our company name, but the instructions are vague. When I click "Digital Sign" it searches for a file on my computer, but I do not know where the file is. Could someone help me locate where the file for Digital Signatures is located?
This is the only software that I make, so I do not have additional software on my computer that I am aware of for creating Digital Signatures. I'd appreciate any help that could be provided.

Hi Craig,

Advanced Installer provides you with a built-in option to sign your setup packages. However, digitally signing a package involves you already own a code signing certificate.
This type of certificate can be acquired by you from different providers, like VeriSign or Comodo. For more details about the certificate you need it is recommended to contact them.

Once you obtain the certificate you can configure Advanced Installer to use it for signing as many setup packages as you want to.

I recently obtained a free trial Code Signing Certificate from ascertia.com. Perhaps you can get that to work better than I can.

The price is only 1/10 the price of other suppliers, but the Windows 7 UAC window still pops up and tells me the install is from an unknown publisher. The company name and e-mail address are correct in the certificate. Please let me know if you try the ascertia certificate and get further along with it.

Before we go about obtaining the trial certificate I would suggest one more thing for you to try. Can you please import the certificate in the system store and
then use the option "Automatically get certificate from system store" in Advanced Installer? This is now the recommended method from Microsoft for signing packages
and using it should fixed the message you see from the elevation prompt.

Bogdan, installing the trial certificate and then telling AI to get it from the system store worked great. No more UAC warnings! Thanks for the tip.
