error during remove on a plain w2k

When deinstalling using the software tool on a (German) w2k, i get the following error:

An unexpected error occured
Klasse nicht registriert ( class not registered )
res://appwiz.cpl/listbox.htc
Line:668

It still works fine, but I would apreciate not to worry the user.

That sounds like a problem with the application you were uninstalling. For which application was the install package generated?

I'm using the Advanced Installer 1.5 Freeware to create a simple installation of my software. The installation copies some files and a shortcut. It doesn't changes the registry.

I've searched for 'res://appwiz...' and found the 'Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 266668'. Then I registered appwiz.cpl successfully. But that did not fix the problem.

The platform I'm testing the installation on is a W2K SP4, IE6 installed (in a VMware). The same installation (deinstallation) works without the error on Windows XP. Maybe it is rather a Microsoft Problem(TM)?

So appwiz.cpl is your file or listbox.htc?

No offcourse not. I think it has something to do with the softwarepanel of w2k and wXP. Maybe it comes with the system and or the IE. And No - I have not touched these files. :)

By the way. I have just tried your 'Advanced Installer' Installation and saw the same problem. So i think your tool is not responsible. (I like it verry much, by the way.)
