Hi. I'm using the "Edit Text File Update" dialog. Under "Error Policy", I try to use "Skip File" setting (to ignore any errors that might occur), but when I come back into the dialog, it is always reset to "abort install" setting.
(AI 8.8.1)
perhaps I can change the option flags in the XML manually?

Indeed I can confirm this behavior. Thank you for bringing it to our attention and for helping us make Advanced Installer a better product.
I have added the fix on our TODO list and it should be available in a future version.

This has been fixed in version 8.9 of Advanced Installer, released on January 26, 2011.
