Receiving "LZMA Compressor out of memory" errors

I have Advanced Installer 8.2 Enterprise installed on my Windows 7 SP1 64-bit computer. I have 24GB RAM, of which at least 17GB is currently available. I am trying to build a very simple installer using the LZMA compression set to "Best". When I attempt to build, I get the following error:

"Exception - LZMA Compressor out of memory (not enough continuous virtual memory). Try a lower compression level."

If I set the compression to "Good", it works fine.

Is there a way to get the "Best" compression working?

Hello,

You can try to increase the allocated virtual memory on that machine. Here is a Microsoft article to help you with this.

All the best,

I have the same problem - lots of ram, increased my virtual memory to 8GB, still see the error. The project is only small!

Hi and welcome to Advanced Installer forums,

Is 8GB the recommended virtual memory allocated space on that machine? If not, please try using the recommended allocated space and see the result.

All the best,
