Hi,
my software sometimes fails to start because the Avira Antivir Scanner AVSCAN.EXE keeps one or 2 large data files open. Is there any way to add the directory containing these files to the list of file locations that are excempt from scanning?

Do you wanted to say that the antivirus is blocking the launch of your application or the setup package built by Advanced Installer?
If your application's files are detected as false-positives, then you should contact Avira support team in order to fix your problem.
