Would it be possible to have advanced installer automatically install MySql along with our application.
If so has anyone done it?

Hi Norm,
This can be very easy as we have MySql 5.5 as a predefined prerequisite. Just go to Prerequisites page in your project and select it from the list, the rest is handled automatically by us. Selecting the application will make Advanced Installer include it as a prerequisite in the package you are building for your application
and handle its installation, if not already found on the machine.
