Creating uninstall shortcut.

How do I create a shortcut to the uninstaller in the program group?

This is advised against by the Microsoft Windows Installer guidelines.

We could support it in a future version though, if people request it.

I think this is a reasonable guideline, I guess its somewhat illogical to have a shortcut to a rarely used icon cluttering up the program groups.

It would be useful to have an 'uninstall' button next to the 'run' button in the AI toolbar. This would make it much more convenient to uninstall an old version and test a new installer.

Good idea. Also, running a MSI for a second time will bring up a dialog where Uninstall is one of the options...

Good point. But if the product id changed then I don't think you get that dialog.

If the ProdID changed, the uninstall wouldn't work either...

I just did some tests. If I don't rebuild then I can uninstall using the run button. But if I rebuild, then I have to go through the control panel.
