Firewall exceptions and 6to4 adapters

Dear Sir,

Recently we started using Firewall rules in Advanced Installer to make exceptions in Windows 7 Firewall for our applications. Soon after we started using Firewall exceptions, our clients got problems with too many 6to4 adapters in device manager and as a consequence connectivity problems. My first question is:

Can these problems in someway be related to the use of advanced installers firewall rules?

My second question is:

If we deactivate TCP/IP v6, will advanced installer activate it again when using firewall rules?

Thanks!

Re: Firewall exceptions and 6to4 adapters

Hi Christian,

Neither of your concerns are related to Advanced Installer Firewall settings. For clarification, here's a MSDN link describing the API Advanced Installer is using.

All the best,
