Dialog editor:How to disable image centering?

What for the helpful future? I can't align my images in the editor.
1. Real image size is not equal control size. (Why? Fixed size is set to True) So I must try to select correct value manually
2. When control size is smaller as image the image size it is streching little bit. Why? (Fixed size is set to True)

Hello,

I'm afraid this is the standard Windows Installer behavior.
2. When control size is smaller as image the image size" it is streching little bit. Why? (Fixed size is set to True)
We've tested your scenario, but we cannot reproduce the behavior. Can you attach a sample reproducing the behavior?

All the best,
Daniel

Look at the attachment, please. I think centering "work always". In addtion "Installation UI test" show complete wrong image size. Fixed size is fixed size Or?

Re: Dialog editor:How to disable image centering?

Hello,

Please keep in mind that when "Stretch images to fit their controls" option is enabled, from "Themes" -> "Settings" tab, then the "Fixed Size" attribute will be overridden. So, please make sure that "Use individual control 'stretch' settings" option "Themes" -> "Settings" tab is enabled.

If the behavior still reproduce can you please send us the .AIP (project file) and the related image files to support at advancedinstaller dot com so we can investigate them? Also, can you give us more details about your scenario and specify the UI controls which behave like this?

All the best,
Daniel

Re: Dialog editor:How to disable image centering?

Hi Daniel,
is is very easy to reproduce.
- Create an wider image as default (our was 690x59) with something important left.
- Create new project. Set in the Theme page Banner Bitmap. Look at the FolderDlg - you can't see the left side of the image.

Re: Dialog editor:How to disable image centering?

Hello,

Please keep in mind that when a larger image is used, you can't see the image left side because the related image is centered without changing its size.

Re: Dialog editor:How to disable image centering?

I can "accept" centering for the smaller image but for the bigger one?? It means I can never view the correct picture when dispaly unit is changed.
Cut/Expand right side could be imaginable but some Logo images have important places on the left side.

Re: Dialog editor:How to disable image centering?

Hello,

I'm afraid this is the standard Windows Installer behavior. As a workaround you can enable "Stretch images to fit their controls" option from "Themes" -> "Settings" tab.
