Suppress Disc 2 Autorun

I am building an installer on 3 disks.

Is there any way to remove the autorun feature on discs 2 and 3?
It's causing the installer to stop.

I found this article referring to QueryCancelAutoPlay: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library ... 4(v=vs.85)
Can this code be made to run somehow or is there another way?

I really need some advice on this.

Thank you for your interest in Advanced Installer.

Can you please tell us if you are using our "CD/DVD Autorun" support or you have manually created autorun files for each of your installation CD/DVD?

Thank you for your swift response!

I am not using your auto run feature, but I've included my own autorun file on disc 1.

(I'm creating an update to a 'professional' installer so I was reluctant to change it to an 'Enterprise' one in case it cause any issues).

Hi Steve,

Just for testing, can you create a copy of your project and upgrade it to Enterprise so you can access our Autorun feature?

I am not sure what is the problem with your own autorun support, but the one from Advanced Installer should behave correctly.

Hi,

I'm now using the Advanced Installer generated AutoRun
I'm afraid Disc 2 is still popping up a window with the 'View these files' option.
If you select to open the files and then click OK on the disc 2 request the installation just hangs.
If you eject and put disc 2 back in, an close(X) the autorun window the installation continues.

Hello,

I've tested your scenario using version 9.4 of Advanced Installer, but I cannot reproduce the behavior. Here's attached a sample, created with version 9.4 of Advanced Installer, which has configured three media volumes in "Media" -> "Advanced Media" tab and use our "CD/DVD Autorun" feature.
