Installer builds trail versions even though pro version

We just bought many pro licenses and we are having an issue.
We are using one license for our build server and another one for myself.
(I make changes on my computer to the .api file and then the build server (on a different computer) creates the installer)

After we registered our build server and my copy we keep getting this warning every so often:
Warning - License file is invalid
Advanced Installer has detected an invalid license. This happens if you change computer hardware configuration or license file is corrupt.
You can get a valid license file using "Help > Register..." menu.


How can we keep this warning from happening?

Hi,

Usually this happens when the hardware configuration of the machine changes. Is this the case for the machine with the problem? Please note that you can register Advanced Installer again by using the "Help" -> "Register" menu inside a project.

This does fix the problem however, every time i change the .api installer file on my computer and check it for the build server we have to re-register the build server. This slows down our production pipeline.
Does it mater that we are running our build server in a virtual box?

Hi,

I'm not sure why you are encountering this behavior. Advanced Installer should work correctly even in virtual machines. Can you please send us the following information to support at advancedinstaller dot com?
- the Windows version used by the machine with the problem
- the license key you are using to register Advanced Installer
- the ComputerId of the build machine (this should be retrieved several times to make sure that it stays the same)

You can retrieve the ComputerId by registering Advanced Installer without an Internet connection.

This is an old issue, but we recently (using advanced installer 9.9) have exactly the same issue on our build server.
We only need to click through the registration page to be able to build again.
We never had this problem until last week and today again.

Has there been a solution for this issue?
