Software Identification Tab

I have just returned to using this product after a 6 months break and am a little rusty!

As a general point it would be VERY helpful (to me anyway) if there were an idiot's option ie what to do if in doubt

For example, in Product Details there is a section called "Software Identification Tab". This is explained but what I need to know is

1. Do I need to bother filling this in?
2. What, if anything are the consequences of NOT bothering?
3. The best thing to do if you are unsure ie "forget it" OR "you MUST fill this in otherwise your product will explode"

Hello,

Please keep in mind that the "Enable Software Identification Tag" option is not a mandatory option. You should not encounter any undesired behavior if this option is not enabled.

You can enable the Software Identification Tag from "Products Details -> Software Identification" tab only if you want to implement the "ISO 19770-2" international standard within your installation package.
