Patch not installing

Hi,

We have created a 1.0.0 version of our software and a 1.0.1 version. But when when creating a patch between those versions the patch builds correctly without warnings.
When running the patch on a system with the 1.0.0 version installed the patch setup runs but when pressing the install button nothing happens.
When incrementing the version i pressed the patch button and i only edited one file for this patch.
I really hope to get this working because patching is vital for our software.

Hello Jack,

I'm not sure why you encountered this behavior.
Before working on your project please follow our tutorial for creating a patch and also keep in mind the patch rules when creating your projects.

Also please keep in mind that a patch contains only the differences between two versions of the product. That means that through a patch you can update something which is already installed.

If that isn't necessary your case, can you please send us the AIP's( old project file, the upgraded project file and the patch project file) and a verbose log of the patch installation to support at advancedinstaller dot com so we can investigate them?

I have the exact same problem, I have a big project, thus patches are needed. I followed the instructions in the patch tutorial. It builds without errors, but when I execute the .msp it doesn't do anything when I click install (also tried .exe build, same thing happend). To my knowledge there is nothing wrong with the patch. I just changed 1 simple HTML file.

There also is another problem, as you can see in the video, the installer is completely grey. While the original installer has a custom look. But I will post another question about that, because it's kind of off-topic.
