Advanced Installer exe not installed in proxy connection

hi all..
i am using advanced installer professional (registered).
i have a problem with adavanced installer,during setup i was checked "RUN ONLY IF INTERNET CONNECTION IS FOUND" in Launch Condition menu.

now in my system i have proxy internet connection. i was installing the advavanced installer exe and its not installing . it through a error message as
"Sample requires an active internet connection for installation.Please check your network configuration and proxy settings".

but i have proxy connection and i can able to browse the internet using the proxy setting but during the advanced installer exe installation i received the error message as mention above.

so how to tackle this.
need ur suggetsions with examples.

note:
my installer (exe) will have install in the following two scenario
- proxy connection ->not installed (not working)
- without proxy (normal internet connection) ->installed(working)

the issue will come when the single and multiple machines having the proxy connection.
but in normal internet connections it is working fine.

need ur suggestions to solve this..

Hi Anbu,

This launch condition uses the Internet Explorer API and tries to connect to some websites. If it's unable to connect, the launch condition is not met.

It also doesn't support proxy servers with username and password validation.

If the proxy setup does challenge with a username and password, is it possible for AI to pass this on to the user? I.e prompt them for it?

We have only just enabled server-side validation for our installers and already struck our first customer who cannot run our installer. (They sent us a desktop screenshot of the AI message and in the background we can see IE running.)

I think this needs to be implemented because it is very common for customers (eg ours in education environments) to need to enter their login credentials to access internet resources.

If it isn't implemented (and assuming the user has already entered their credentials into IE), the alternative is for AI to use the token that IE has already established?

Out of curiosity, what was the fix that you made for this issue? Did you give the user a dialog box allowing them to enter the username and password? Or some other solution?

I skimmed the release notes for 11.1, but didn't find anything.

Hello and welcome to Advanced Installer forums,

Before the 11.1 version of Advanced Installer, if you have a proxy for internet connection it was not detected, so you were prompted with the an active internet connection for installation.Please check your network configuration and proxy settings error.
Starting with the 11.1 version of Advanced Installer there are some checks in order to detect if there is used a proxy for internet connection. Also, if the proxy require a username and password authentication, then you will get a prompt in order to enter the related details.
