Shortcut Issue while updating

Dear Support,

I have noticed this dialog on quite a lot of computers while updating the Advanced Installer itself or even running an update of our products with installers made with Advanced Installer.

This seems to be related to the desktop shortcut which still exists at the time of the dialog is shown.

After the installer is done, the old shortcut still remains on the desktop and the new shortcut exists too.

What can be the issue here?

Hi Stefan,

This problem is caused by the configuration on your machines, as I explained in the following thread.

You just need to manually remove the read-only flag from the INI file and the warning message should no longer appear.
