Hi,
Situation:
I moved a ReadMe type dialog, which used a rtf file, to the repository.
It asked if I wanted to replace the dialog there, or give it a new name. I choose to give it a new name.
Note: The one already present in the repository, is over two years old. This is important to remember for the problem which occured.
I then removed references to the dialog in the other dialogs controls publiched events.
After that, I deleted the dialog.
Symptoms:
When I then tried to create the setup package, an error occurs saying:
Resources referred by the project are missing
Z:\...TheFullPath...\rtf4692.tmp
I looked in the Aip file for a reference to the rtf4692.tmp file and and part of the TheFullPath folders, but found none.
Saving and reopening the project didn't help.
Thing is: the actual TheFullPath showing in the error, is an old project path in which the Path hasn't existed on my computer for over two years! Just like the dialog in the repository.
So, I guess the project is still referencing the old dialog in the repository, which was looking for the old path and file, which the referenced rtf wasn't present any longer.
I did notice that even though the dialog was deleted from the project, a search for the dialog's name came up with two search results:
Solution:
Only after adding the dialog back to the project (from the repository - original dialog name) - and the rft text was then not showing - and then deleted it again, was the problem solved.
(Whew! I didn't make a backup for a few days)
Probably had I saved the dialog with the original name and reopened the project, it may have then been alright. I have a copy of the Aip where it still happens, and the original dialog in the repository is still there, so I can still test that if you wish.
Thank you,
clint
