Open File with Custom Action

Hello Support Team,

we want to open our help-file before the Installation starts.

I Created first a Checkbox in the "Welcome-Theme" . PropertyName= Checkbox_1_Prop


I created a Custom Action "Launch File" and selected the englisch help.

Checked in this tab are.
Run as Administrator
Use 63 Bit launcher

Execution Time
Immediately

Execution Options
Wait for Custom Action..
Fail Installation if ...

Execution Stage Condition
install
Condition= Checkbox_1_Prob="Checked"


Now i go to the theme and want configure the "Next"-Button with a published Event. But nothing works for me and nothing happens. I don´t find a way to open the help file with custom Action in a new Event. in the Event Options i cannot find anything.

I hope you understand it and can help me.

Hi Markus,

Please keep in mind that in order for your custom action to be available in the "Event Options" section, you should add it "without sequence" as displayed in the image below.

Also, your help file will not be available on the machine before the installation, however, in order to achieve this, you can add it using the [Temporary Files] toolbar button from the "Files and Folders" page.

Hi Markus,

Sorry because I forgot to attach the image. The custom action can be added "with/without sequence" from the Custom Actions page. Only the custom actions added "without sequence" will be available in the Dialogs page to be used as an event. I attached the image below.
