Install Prerequsites in a Patch

Hi

I'm trying to create at patch for my product, and this new version includes new prerequsites that needs to be installed.
I have version 1.0 installed and I have created a version 1.1 with some new content including some new prerequsites.
When I create the patch it doesn't seem to include the new prerequsites in the installer. The new files are added as they should but not the .msi and .exe packages.

Is it not possible to install new prerequsites in a patch or am I doing something wrong?

I have tried creating 1.1 as an MSI that includes everyting and also with an exe and extracting the content to make the patch.
