Environment variables not being removed on uninstall

Hello -

I am using AI v12.4.2 and have created four separate system environment variables. Two for paths related to the application, and another one for the Java JDK and another for the JRE.

All four get correctly created, however when uninstalling only the two related to the application paths are removed. Even after a reboot the two for Java remain. I did verify the component all four variables are associated with has the checkbox for "64-bit Component" selected and that the variables did not exist before running the installer.

Any thoughts on what else I might need to check?

My next thought is to create a custom action that deletes the variables from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment.

Thanks.

Re: Environment variables not being removed on uninstall

Hi Doug,

I'm not sure why you encountered the this behavior.
In order to have a better view about this, can you please send us the .AIP (project file) and a verbose log of the uninstall process to support at advancedinstaller dot com so we can investigate it? If it contains confidential information you can send us a small test project which reproduce this behavior.

Best regards,
Dan
