I Like the feature of the prerequisite applications. But what are the most used prerequisite applications?
- VB-Runtime
- MFC-Runtime
- Windows-Scripting-Engine
- MDAC xxx
- Jet xxx
- DCOM
- IE xxx
.NET-Framework
- maybe BDE
- maybe I forgot something
It would be perfekt, if this list could be checked and installed automaticly (like in Setup-Factory, here as example Jet and MDAC: http://www.indigorose.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5820). This would be a killing feature, worth of double price of your product.
If this is not possible, maybe you could only make the detection of components from this list make automatic.
If this is not possible also, AT LEAST it should be possible to get Information about exact OS (win95, 95 OSR2, 98, 98SE, ... 2000, 2000 SP1, 2000SP2, ... like in http://www.thecodeproject.com/dotnet/do ... taller.asp).
