Txt Update for temporary txt file not performed

Hello,

I have some txt updates for temporary txt files within my setup, that need to be executet, because I have to edit some paths in the txt files. My problem is, that the text updates are not performed. If I move the files to another folder and install them as a normal file, not a temp file, all txt updates work fine.

Is this a bug or a feature? I think this txt update thing on temp files worked correctly in older versions...

Hello Marian,

I've tested the scenario with AI 13.5 and everything went fine. The text update operation successfully applied on the temp file. Can you please send us the .AIP (project file) and a verbose log of the installation to support at advancedinstaller dot com so we can investigate them?

If you cannot share with us your project file, then you can try to isolate the behavior in a buildable sample (.aip + its referenced files) which we can build and test on our side.

It seems to be a problem with the read/write rights of the installer or something like this under windows server 2008. it works fine with Server 2012.

I built a workaround. I copy the files to some folder created by the setup, change the files, import the files and delete the folder afterwards with a custom action. This also works with Server 2008....

I still don't know, why it didn't work on Server 2008. Perhaps it's only on my test machine...
