AI Licensing Dialog

With the advent of the new themes in AI.7.5 would it be possible to extend them to the license registration dialog as well to bring a degree of consistancy to the whole of the installation?

And whilst on the subject of the dialog, with the new license format, if one has decided upon using a machine specific aspect to the key then the end user needs to return the relevant part to you. The dialog does actually provide a neat hyperlinlink that will open up an e mail with the relevant details to send back to you enclosed, but having just watched one of my end users install an app and then use the registration dialog they did not instantly regognise it as being a hyperlink. Could you provide a faclity for either us to add some instructional text, or could you do so. Nothing fancy would be needed, just something along the lines of click here to forward details to registration department.

Finally one other request, which I appreciate might be a lot harder to implement, but would be great to have. In common with a lot of people I suspect, my company is fairly small and diverse (as in developers in different countries, not just offices). As a result we make as much use of modern technology as we can (e mail and error logs pushed to iphones for example.) How about Caphyon developing an iphone app that would allow one to provide registration codes whilst away from the main development machines on which the original aip is stored that you currently need to create the key.

We will consider adding this improvement in a future version. Thank you for your suggestion. Please note that the registration dialog is used only on systems older than Vista. On Vista and Windows 7 an aero wizard is used.

You can modify the link text by editing the dictionary of your project language. For example, for English you can edit the "TrialwareSettings.alltrials#Strings#RegisterCompIdPage#LinkCaption" string from "ui_en.ail" in the "dictionaries" subfolder of the Advanced Installer installation folder. Note that you need to rebuild the project after modifying the string.

Unfortunately the registration codes are generated using Windows libraries, so an IPhone application cannot be used.

Re: AI Licensing Dialog

Hi Cosmin

Thanks for the answer. I take the point about the iPhone and generally I would be happy to ctricise anything connected with apple, but even I have been forced to conceede that the iPhone works in a way that previous windows mobiles never did. Guess I'll just have to figure out another way of providing codes whilst out and about!!
