Associate extensions with Preexisting application

Hi,

I need to associate some files of my application with Notepad... At the moment, my program creates this association (I launch it with command line arguments as “Custom Action”).

But it would be great if Advanced Installed can do such associations by itself...

But Advanced Installer can associate files only with programs installed by the Package...
I need to associate files with Windows's NOTEPAD...

Hi,

This is because windows installer can associate extension only with programs that are
installed with your package. To associate extensions with existing programs you need to use use a custom action as you already do.
