Hello,
we have defined the creation of a new folder in the files and folders topic.
This folder is assigned to a feature.
We want this feature to install only in some types of installation. In this case exactly we don´t want to install it in client mode and we put in the feature the right condition to do it.
But when we install in client mode we get an error saying that 'this folder can´t be found in the network', but this folder isn´t needed because the feature it is assigned to, hasn´t been installed in this installation type.
By the way, there are some custom actions that refer to this folder. But they are NOT launched on this installation case.
Any way to solve it?

Hi,
I suppose you are using property based folders for this specific feature? If so, you should know that even if the feature will not be installed the folders paths
must still be correctly resolved. This is required by the costing operations executed by Windows Installer.
If the custom action are setting the path you should allow them to be executed even if the feature is no installed.
