Updater failed but really hasn't

I have an updater in place to automatically update the tool. I updated the main version number from 1 to 2 and updated the product name from v1 to v2. After creating and uploading the manifest file, the software automatically updates at launch. So far so good. Now when the update is finished the updater screen shows it has failed to update(see attachment), although the software has updated perfectly. Why is the updater showing it has failed when it really hasn't? How can I fix this properly?

This is most likely happening because you specified an incorrect detection criteria in the Update Properties page of the updates configuration project.
