Which DLL is that? Are you sure other application didn't install it too? Did you remove any install package that you may have installed while developing?

remove DLL in system32

I did the following:

1. one brandnew machine, make a install package for one dummy dll only (no option selected for the DLL)

2. install the package

3. reboot the machine

4. Run "Remove" from "Add and remove software" plane

5. The Dummy DLL remained in Winnt/system32

P.S. I upgrade it from 1.5 to 1.8 (any problem there?). And I am using windows 2000 adv server.

Hi
Are you sure you have Windows Installer 2.0 or higher?
The version of your Windows Installer is the version of file "msi.dll" that is found in winnt\system32 folder. If the major version of this file is not at least 2 then you have to install Windows Installer version 2.0 or higher and test again.
