Is it safe to say that without a digital signature there can be no listed manufacturer? If that's the case, and I didn't change the registry value to appdir instead, could that be the reason I cannot find registry keys using regedit? Are they not created, and perhaps the reason I can install but not run/deploy the program? I cannot find the registry keys, as the manufacturer is not listed in the registry, but is listed in the program(x86) folder. The other issue is that people are having problems deploying this on their machines.
What I am asking is, why doesn't my program show up in the registry? The pathway is Software\[Manufacturer]\[ProductName]. So I was wondering if I needed to have a digital signature from a coder signing certificate in order for the Manufacturer to show up, and thus the reg keys, because, as of now, it is not showing up in the registry, and I'm wondering if that is a reason the program won't deploy?
