Removing registry does not remove the directory and keys

HI,

I have been trying to remove the registry from the compile but somehow it keeps coming back. Please refer to the below screen-shot where I created registry 'Borland' which I already removed/delete many times but once I close the Advanced installer and open it again it comes back. How can I delete completely?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in Advance!

Upendra

Re: Removing registry does not remove the directory and keys

Hi Upendra,

The related registry may be created by a .dll that needs to register. This is why you may be able to delete the registry but it is recreated after closing and openning the .AIP(project file).

Re: Removing registry does not remove the directory and keys

Hi Dan,

Thanks for your quick attention. However, there is no .dll require this registry to be created. Originally the registry directory was in our Server compile but I moved it to the client to test it but now it doesn't go away. It's not related to any component or files. Any suggestions to remove it?

Thanks,

Upendra

Hello Upendra,

I'm not sure why you encountered this behaviour.
In order to have a better view about this, can you please send us the .AIP (project file) to support at advancedinstaller dot com so we can investigate it? If it contains confidential information you can send us a small test project which reproduce this behavior.

Best regards,
Dan
