Installation of Shortcuts with Property´s

Hello Support Team,

we have in our project 2 files to which we have created shortcuts.

The 2 files always be installed. The shortcuts but only on the basis of the product language. This won't work for us.

Is that even possible?

Kind regards
Markus

Re: Installation of Shortcuts with Property´s

Hi Markus,

Here's How do I install two files with the same name in the same folder? article to help you conditionally install the shortcuts.

You can use the ProductLanguage property in the condition. It's set to the language identifier of the installation language.

All the best,
Mihai

Re: Installation of Shortcuts with Property´s

Hello Mihai,

thank you für your reply.

Good to know this Feature. ;) with this it is easier to achieve an solution.

Our Problem is that i can not move the shortcuts to this 2 new component.

Englisch-Installation must have:

help.html with shortcut
hilfe.html

German-Installation must have:
help.html
hilfe.html with shortcut.

Kind regards

Re: Installation of Shortcuts with Property´s

Hi Markus,

Shortcuts to an installed file will be added to the component of their target and these shortcuts cannot be moved to another component.
The solution is to use shortcuts to an external file. This type of shortcuts can be moved to any component.

You can adapt How do I create a shortcut only if a specific feature is installed? article with your condition.

All the best,
Mihai
