Office Add-In Installation, adxregistrator.exe

Under "How to install an Express Office Add-In," it talks about custom actions using adxregistrator.exe. What is this? Is it something that is supposed to exist already? Where does it come from? I was unable to find it on my machine. Am I missing something?

Re: Office Add-In Installation, adxregistrator.exe

Hello and welcome to our forums,

Thank you for your interest in Advanced Installer.

Please note that our "How to install an Express Office Add-in?" article approach should be used only for "Express Office Add-ins" installation. These addins are built with a third party framework which is "Add-in Express™". The "adxregistrator.exe" is a tool installed by this framework.

However, please note that if you have a standard addin created with Visual Studio, then in order to create an installation package for it you should use our "Start page -> New -> Add-Ins -> Office Add-In" project wizard to create it.

All the best,
Daniel

OK. That was not clear, since I was unaware of the Add-in Express tool.
Thanks for the clarification. It might help others like me to mention that in the help docs.
