auto updater run as specific user

Hello,

Is it possible to have auto-updater run as a specific user? Almost all of the users are not local admin's or use VMs for their work. We currently distribute installers on SCCM and users pull down updates rather than updates pushed out. This leads to users being outdated without realizing it. Is it possible to have auto-updater run as a specific user to install updates?

Cheers.

Re: auto updater run as specific user

Hello,

I am afraid it is not possible to run the auto-updater under a specific user account. The auto-updater deploys the updates through a scheduled task. Even on a machine where the user is not an administrator, the Task Scheduler service is run under the Local System account.

Kind regards,
