AI for Java not updating tool tips with new version #

For some reason, when changing the version number for a new build (from 1.0.0 to 1.0.1 for example) the tool tip for the new build (when positioning mouse over the build file) still shows the old version number 1.0.0

When I change the version number for the build it asks me if I want to change the build number and I always answer YES.

It does not matter what number I change it to, even deleting the build and generating a new one - this still happens, however, when right-clicking the installer file and looking at properties, the correct version number is always indicated. Just the tool tip seems to not be getting updated.

Any help would be appreciated. I am running on WinXP Professional.

I suspect the tooltips are being cached by the Windows Shell. Try forcing a refresh (the F5 key) or restart the computer.

Cata,

This has no effect, the tooltip is still showing the old version number after reboot and refresh.

Any suggestions?

Just tested it on my machine and the tooltip is updated with no issues.

What is your target file, MSI or EXE?

Are you using the latest (2.3) AdvInst?

Which versions (exactly) exhibit the issue?

Have you seen this on a different computer?

Thanks,

Targe file is EXE. AdvInst for Java v2.3.

This is the only version I have tried. I have also registered the product.

Have copied the generated EXE file to another computer and it also shows the wrong version number in tooltip.

Intriguing. Can you tell me which are the version numbers you are using? Can you send me the EXE and maybe some screen shots?

The address is: support at advanced installer dot com.
