Remove installed folders and files

Hi,

I am working at a setup with some folders and files copied on the target computer during installation via the "folder and files" feature. A few days ago i noticed that the installed folders and files are no longer deleted from the target system in uninstall mode. I am sure, at the beginning of the project they were deleted. What can be the cause of this?

Hello Portalman,

All the folders and files installed by your setup should be removed on uninstall - this is the default behavior.

However, if in thea meantime, you have replaced some of those files manually or if you added files manually to the folder, please note that those files are not removed.

If that is not the case, please forward me a copy of your AIP file by email at support at advancedinstaller dot com so I can investigate its' settings and see if something is wrong. Additionally, please also let me know which files are not removed.

Hello Catalin,

sorry for my late response, I was down with flu last week.

I removed all the copied folders and files from my project then added them again and now everything seems to work just fine. The folders and files are installed and during uninstall everything is removed again.

I don't know why something got stuck before, but adding them anew did the trick.
