Custom Actions - Nested Installations

Hi,

Is it possible to run an msi file within an msi installation designed with AI? If I build my installation package as an exe file it is easy to achieve as a prerequisite. However, I have to create a msi file. Then the "prerequisities" function is disabled.

I have read about "Nested Installation Actions" in Windows Installer. I think this may solve my problem. Is it possible to use this functionality with AI?

Hi Jonas,

I'm afraid that for the moment Advanced Installer doesn't support "Nested Installation" type of custom actions.

We will implement this feature in a future release.
