Setting permissions on registry Key

The permission settings on the registry key are not persitent.
I use right click on a registry key to set the properties of the key. On the tab permission, I add a new username and give him permissions. OK and OK. If I come back to this tab the username has disappeared.
Is it normal?

Hi,

In the first tab ("Registry Key") of the Edit Registry Key dialog, you have to select the checkbox "Create (if absent) at install".
