This is not really a problem that I am having with AI. Instead, it is a problem that the installer for Advanced Installer itself is having. An extremely minor one I just thought you would want to know about.

I am answering my question here because I found a workaround.

I began to suspect that AI was not using the right certificate. It says it does. It has it highlighted in the UI but the signed binary makes itt look like it does not.

I exported the .CER file and set up the code-signing to use this file as described in the AI User guide.
