HI,
In my case I don't get the message you mentioned. anyhow it seems that it doesn't matter what Feature I set part of the resources are set to Main Feature and the others to Database Updater.
I use 16.7 version .

oops probably is was because I played with the file.
I changed it to DatabaseUpdater and still part of the resources are set to MainFeature.

I've sent the files you have requested. again I'm not sure what is the exact scenario. it seems that new files that were added in a later stage gets the 'Main feature'.
anyhow if user sets the feature on the folder why there is a possibility that different resources gets different feature ...

Oops
I've attached it again. this is the thing I'm not sure how to reproduce it. I think that when new files added to the synced folder they get 'Main Feature' as default instead of the one I set on the folder - in this case 'Database Updater'.

please see attached snapshot. DatabaseUpdater feature is set to 'DatabaseUpdater' and some resources are linked to DatabaseUpdater as expected while others to Main Feature which is bad . all resources that was linked to main feature has not beem copied when user selected only DatabaseUpdater feature ...

what is the best practice for managing files? sync folder is dynamic while fixed list of files gives you a better control.

Is there a better solution today? I prefer to stick to the feature selection dialog. I think it looks better then a custom dialog with checkboxes.

correct but sometime after the installation the order is mixed and clear appears last and unfortunately the order matter and it fails our app.

it indeed worked with assembly binding list but in the following xml config AI changed the order of the elements and put the clear tag after the connection string tag. I checked the is identifier attribute for all attributes of the connection string but it didnt change anything.
