Sync Folder - Property "Never Overwrite"

Hey,

if i add some files manually to the installer i can set the property "Never Overwrite" in
the propertys page of organisation.

Now i had to add some files with the automatic sync of your installer.
But now i can't find the the "Never Overwrite" property for these files...

Is it an error or did i something wrong?

Greetings

Hi,

Note that any file added in the "Files and Folders" page is added to a component in the "Organization" page. Also, for any component you can set the "Never Overwrite" attribute.

I'm not sure how exactly your project looks like, but in order to set the "Never Overwrite" attribute you need to make sure that the files in the synchronized folder are shown in the "Files and Folders" page.

You can read more about the "Organization" page here:

Hey,

yes i can see the Files under "Files and Folders".... :(..

Ok - i've tried to do this:

>> open "Files and Folders"
>> add a complete Folder "test" with 4 documents
>> open "organization"
>> i can see only the first document, for this document i can set the "never overwrite" property
>> by clicking the plus infront of the document i see all the other documents, here i cant set the "never overwrite" property. I get only a page "Product Organization Overview"

Hi,
i can see only the first document, for this document i can set the "never overwrite" property
Please note that what you are seeing is not the first document, it's actually a component which is named after the first document. Also, when you set an attribute for a component, this attribute will be applied to all the resources in the component (files, registry entries etc; the ones you see when you click the plus sign).

If you need to create a component for each resource then you can right-click a resource (which is not a primary resource) and select "Move to new Component".
