How to custom name for update exe' ?

I'm not sure this feature exists but
i'm manually typing in the name of the new version because it contains the version number.
Should I do that?

I mean productversion property does not exist in update configuration project.

Hi,
after every updating, my task is to create a new one .txt file.
my problem is when opening this project it doesn't update the new version.
is it possible to have new product version automatically and i can build the txt file directly?

You could try to achieve that through the "/UpdateInstaller" command.

Regarding the "Name" field, please note that it is not formatted, meaning you can not input a property there.

Hi catalin,
I have more questions about the update configuration.
Below is the interface image.
My problem was that after build updated version of exe, it was in a different version (ex: xx.6.28)

However if I build the .txt file, advanceinstaller is not checked file to create new txt file with new version.
I mean I'll have to manually update as follow image2.

Is it possible to automatically determine the version before clicking build?

Hello,

I'm afraid you need to manually set the version - the version will not be retrieved from your executable.

If this is not what you meant, please give me some more details, perhaps I've misunderstood your question here.
