Visual Studio 2019 and 2022 extensions incompatible projects

So with the application uninstalled, I don't have that location. Here is my extensions folder:

Interestingly I have another profile on my machine for my Microsoft account (although I only use my local login) which has the following folder:

I removed that folder from that user's extension's folder but it did not make any difference.

I am not sure if this is relevant or not but, because the project I am using requires it, I am always starting VS 2019 with elevated permissions. I am not sure if the extension information or some other information is stored elsewhere when you do that.

I just reinstalled the extension but I do not get the same folder name as you. Is that normal? Here is my folder:

Can you please share with us your VS solution (SLN file) and all of the project files it includes (only the project definition files without the source code files) so we can further investigate this issue?

I have sent the files directly to support. However, just to reiterate, the error also comes up when I start VS 2019 without a project so I am not sure it is dependant on the project.
