Custom window chrome

Hi,

I'm wondering if it's possible to customize the window chrome of the installer. I'm using the Surface template.

I need to do the following:
1. Changing the black background color.
2. Changing the button template (specially removing the blue color arround it on mouseover).
3. Changing the height of the top bar. (circled in red).

Is it possible to do this?

Thanks,
Sebastien

Re: Custom window chrome

Hello Sebastien and welcome to Advanced Installer forums,

Thank you for your interest in Advanced Installer.
1. Changing the black background color.
In order to achieve this you can change the "Background" image from "Themes -> Preview -> More Options" section.
2. Changing the button template (specially removing the blue color arround it on mouseover).
For this you can change the button images from "Themes -> Images" tab. Please keep in mind that it is recommended to use images with the same size as our default images. Please take a look on our "Image Button" article.
3. Changing the height of the top bar. (circled in red).
You can change the images, from "Themes -> Images" tab, associated with "AI_CF_FrameCaption" and "AI_CF_FrameCaptionInactive" properties.

Also, you can take a look on our "Surface Theme Color" thread.

All the best,
Daniel

Re: Custom window chrome

Do you think it's possible with this theme to add an Icone and a title on the top bar like standard windows?

Hello,

Yes, you should be able to achieve this. For this, you can edit accordingly the images, from "Themes -> Images" tab, associated with "AI_CF_FrameCaption" and "AI_CF_FrameCaptionInactive" properties.

All the best,
