installation english languange

Hello everybody,
is there any way to install advanced with english (using 10.0).
I tried of course, but it hasn't shown me an offer, to chose a languange.

I have a Errormessage, and I like it better to post it here in english.

Thanks, Eric

Re: installation english languange

Hi Eric,

AI's installation language is automatically set to English because this is the only language included in its installation package.

If you want to change the default language of your projects you can set it in the Start page, "Options" section. Also, you can go in Translations page and select more languages for your project. If you want to let the user choose installation language at install time you can enable the "Display language selection dialog (for multi-language packages)" radio button.

If the above information doesn't help, can you please give us more details about your problem?

Best regards,

Hi Eusebiu,

Code: Select all

AI's installation language is automatically set to English
sorry I can not agree that.

What is it what you call "Start page"?
"Option" ist only inside of "Home"

best regards

Re: installation english languange

Hi Eric,

Please keep in mind that the AI's language and the project language that you create with Advanced Installer are not the same. The AI's language is always English. The project language is usually set to the Operating System's language and you can change it in the Start page. I attached here a screenshot with the Start page.

Best regards,
Eusebiu

Re: installation english languange

Hi,

Can you please go in the Translations page of your project, select only the English language and see if the behavior persists?

Re: installation english languange

you just gave me a new reason to stop here, and carry about inno-setup or wixinstaller or whatever.
Almost a half has passd since I try to figure out some basics.
Maybe I should have used that time for other stuff..

And beside, the most reason for that is seeable in your last answer.
"Translation page"
Why its hard or forbidden or ... have no idea, to give a description like that A->B-> C->

Re: installation english languange

Hi Eric,

I'm sorry, I don't understand what wasn't clear in the steps Eusebiu mentioned in the last post. The "Translations" page is available in the left menu of
Advanced Installer, when you open your project. There you can select the languages desired for your package.

From that page, Languages tab, you can also enable the options "Display language selection dialog", that will give you a small dialog from where you can select the language desired to install the package,
when the setup is launched by the user.

Best regards,
Bogdan
