Have to Select Do not close application if select close will stop remote desktop services and kick you from the server and can't log back in since it just closed the remote desktop services. Have to use Amazon console to reboot the server.

Running an installer generated by Advanced Installer 13.5.

I have only seen this occur on one client instance of Server2012 R2 running on Amazon Web Services. Other installs on Server 2012R2 have not produced this long list of open files Is there a way to not have this appear if installing on AWS?

Re: Long list of files in use do you want to close on Server2012R2 on AWS.

Hello,

The file in use notification is automatically triggered by the Windows Installer service at install time when the files targeted by the current installation are kept in use by one or more processes running on the current machine. Unfortunately, there is no way to avoid this notification and you have to either close the processes keeping your file in use or to trigger a reboot at the end of the installation.

All the best,
Daniel
