We had the same issue and found a solution, by simply changing the task version from 2 to 3 in the settings of the Advanced Installer Build Action in devops...

We think, we were able to find the root cause for this behavior: The customer had installed an old version of our product (with all features) on the affected machine before. There were still some files left that were not uninstalled properly. After we deleted those files, the installer worked as ...

yes, as far as I could see it, this problem only occurred on the prerequisites dialog.
However, the other problem "Selection of setup language is ignored" is valid for all other pages as well.

our user is using McAfee VirusScan Enterprise - maybe you should tell them as well to whitelist this behavior. I will ask him whether he is using latest definitions.

you were totally right. I didn't know that you could change the theme per build.
Thank you very much for your help!
Now, only the bug using the "indirection" option still exists, leading to having to change the fonts for every single page, but at least there's a workaround :-)
