What’s New in Advanced Installer 23.8
Version 23.8 is now available and introduces new scripting capabilities, improved driver deployment workflows, and additional security enhancements, along with multiple UI, UX, and command-line improvements across packaging and deployment scenarios.

Session object for PowerShell Custom Actions
No more workarounds.
PowerShell Custom Actions now include the MSI Session object, bringing capabilities that were previously available only through VBScript (deprecated) or DLL custom actions.

PnPUtil Integration for Driver Installation
All Advanced Installer projects built with v23.8 or newer will use PnPUtil to install your drivers. The old DIFx implementation has been deprecated.
If you have a project created with an older version of Advanced Installer, all you have to do is to open it with v23.8 and rebuild the project to leverage the new PnPUtil update.
Digital Signature for the Updates Configuration project
Updates Configuration projects now support digital signatures.
This helps secure the update delivery process by ensuring that only trusted and unmodified update configuration files are used by client applications, reducing your supply chain attack surface
Installation Speed Improvements
Based on critical user feedback, we’ve implemented major DISM improvements for Windows Features installation support. These improvements significantly reduce installation times and improve the overall user experience for your clients.
