Conflicting keyboard shortcuts in German EULA dialog

I know this is a bit particular, but a customer of ours raised this issue-- the "Alt + Z" keyobard shortcut on the EULA dialog is used twice, once for "Back" (&Zurück) and once for "I agree" (Ich stimme der Lizenzvereinbarung &zu).

Because of this, the keyboard short doesn't work ...

Installation failing suddenly with "MainEngineThread is returning 1603"

One of our customers has ~35 workstations. They said they can successfully install our product on ~4 of them, but it fails on the rest, and we can't figure out why. The installation fails suddenly after the EULA and ready dialogs with "...ended prematurely". I'll send the AIP and logs separately ...

Thank you, Daniel. We'll investigate along the lines you've suggested.

Re: Installation cancelling itself without user interaction

I should also note that this problem is only occurring on one customer machine and cannot otherwise be reproduced. I also provided this customer with other versions of the same product and they said they encountered the same problem. I have no idea what's going on.

Re: Installation cancelling itself without user interaction

Daniel,

While I am using an EXE setup package and the enhanced UI, the EXE is signed by AI during the build (I sent the AI project file that indicates this). This shouldn't be the problem, then, right?

Installation cancelling itself without user interaction

Hello,

On one particular customer system, the installer is advancing from the "Verify Ready" dialog to the "Installation Progress" dialog, whereupon the user immediately sees a "Do you want to cancel?" dialog. The installation aborts whether they say yes or no. Here's the relevant portion of the ...

Password controls are unstyled

I'm adding a custom page to the installation wizard, and I need a password control. However, the password control appears unstyled/sunken (see attached screenshot). I verified that the control has the expected attributes in the control table:

2097155 = 0x200003
Visible | Enabled | Password

Any ...

Re: Error 2753 preventing execution of CA

I have logs from two customers showing what seems to be the same problem, and both logs show that a previous version of the product was assigned to the machine via GPO. In both cases, the customers have tried to manually upgrade a single machine to test a new feature, and the upgrade failed. The ...

Error 2753 preventing execution of CA

Hello,

We have a CA that takes as its action data the path to a DLL file. This DLL file has no conditions for installation and should always be installed. However, in some customer environments, we're seeing this:

MSI (s) (20:00) [15:38:47:818]: Note: 1: 2753 2: BmaOlaStore32.dll

Followed later ...

Make a separate pre-defined font for the non-bold title text

All the non-bold text in the banner portion of the dialog, e.g. "Please read the following license agreement carefully", uses the default font for all other controls. The bold text, however, uses a custom DlgTitleFont. When using non-white background images for the banner, it's necessary to change ...

Re: Auto registration marking DLL as 64-bit

Thanks, Daniel. I sent the files you requested as well. As a workaround, I just switched everything to self-registration.

Auto registration marking DLL as 64-bit

I have a 32-bit project. Some of the DLL's are set to "Auto register file" (synchronization is "Buildtime", but this also happens when it's just "Enabled"). The DLL's component entry is not marked as 64-bit. However, after building the MSI, the component becomes flagged as 64-bit, both in the AI UI ...
